Sorry for being gone for so long I've been working on many other projects including things on YouTube that have made scheduling posts on this blog a little bit slow and delayed for my liking at least. But now that I'm back into the swing of things and getting more of a consistent filming schedule, I would like to show a model that I've been working on for a little over 3 days, a model that I've grown to like is become one of my favorite Warhammer models ever, and a character that I have a connection to thanks to reading the books currently as I'm writing this post. first things first the model was very badly painted and was bought for relatively cheap on eBay.

W when I first purchased the model he was in rough shape and appear to be painted with either a very translucent paint or with enamels so at this stage I made sure to strip the model thoroughly using scale 75's paint killer and decided to get to work. once I strip the model completely clean down to the bare metal I decided to go ahead and clean up all the old mold lines that were still there after all these years and then once that was done I sanded some rough spots sanded down on some of the birds and the metal made sure that the base was able to be used and made sure that of course the tab where he would slide into the base wasn't bent or warped, from here I decided to set up a quick color scheme loosely based on his appearance in the novels he starred in, having to mix a silvery gold color due to the fact that necron compound would have been a little bit too dark for what I needed and I could always knock back color if need be using a sepia wash. ...

So, I decided to take some nice studios shots of the Skelton army commission I have been working on for a while, hence why I haven't been posting too much, given the fact I have had a ton of Skeltons to paint before the holidays I'd say it was a success. stay tuned for more commission updates and soon the have w.i.p posts as well
